For over 30 years, Phil Harriman has worked with family and non-profit businesses in the areas of retirement, business succession and estate planning. He started his career with former Maine Governor James B. Longley’s insurance agency in 1977.  In 1983, he and Michael A. Lebel formed an independent insurance and investment brokerage firm - Lebel & Harriman, LLP, located in Falmouth, Maine.

Lebel & Harriman, LLP has over 125 years of combined experience in the Financial Planning and Human Resources profession.  Honest financial advice and inspired solutions is the cornerstone of his firm thus earning them many of New England’s charitable and family businesses as clients.

Phil is a graduate of Husson University, Bangor, Maine earning a B.S. degree in Business Administration, majoring in Insurance.  He also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa. 

Phil Harriman is a member of and on the board of directors of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting.

From 2003 to 2008 he served as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table Executive Committee, serving as its President in 2007. 

Phil Harriman was elected four times to serve as a State Senator in the state of Maine.  Senator Harriman served on the Health and Human Services, Business and Economic Development, Natural Resources, Utilities & Energy and Appropriations Committees

He serves on numerous civic boards including as a Trustee at Husson University and The American College Foundation.
